Hi everybody,
I really don't know if Brett Favre was right when he decided to play another season. He's got defenitely not the same level he played with when he was a Packer. I saw the game against the Chargers
and one thing surprised me, Favre took a lot a very bad decisions on his throws. He was intercepted two times and he was hurried too often, result? He threw before he was ready to, in a very bad
body position then, he was picked off. When he was younger he could make the difference by him self with his incredible passes in awful conditions, just before being sacked. But today, you're 38
man, the guys you play against are, at least, 12 years younger. You can't expect to fake them cause they've got a better physical condition than you have and what it worked ten
years earlier does not anymore.
But pay attention, I'm not saying Brett Favre has to retired, he did a good game excepting his two interceptions.
His stat sheet, 30 on 42 pass attempts, 271 yards, 3 touchdowns but 2 interceptions.
The key thing is, Brett Favre continues to think that the victory has to come from him, he always want to force the decision so he tries some risky things and now he realise by failing his
attempts (even he succeed on 4th and 17 on week 1) that he had to retired before playing this season wich could be his extra season. I'm not happy cause Brett Favre is a legend, and
even an icon, of football. Most of the quarterbacks he faces have grown up in watching his huge games on T.V. That's not fair cause this guy loves so much football and he brought some incredible
moments of passion and what a pity if he would finish his carrer the wrong way...
