Eagles' sophomore wide receiver Desean Jackson shines with Philadelphia. He doesn't think about his last season's stupid rookie mistake when he droped the ball just
few step before crossing the goal line so he had to wait for scoring his first professional touchdown. Now he makes big receptions very often plus he earns big yardage after the catch wich makes
him a deep threat. This monday night, he performed 2 big plays, both for touchdowns. The first on a reverse play, he ran 67 yards to score an amazing touchdown (photo below n°10).
He caught 2 passes for 69 yards,
he also scored a touchdown on 1 of his 2 catches.
On this play (photo right), he lost the
defender he faced by performing a formidable double move wich freezed his opponent and allowed him plenty of space to catch the football and offered him an easy touchdown.
I do believe that's a good point for the Eagles, they didn't really have talented receiver except T.O but no chemistry with his quarterback Donovan McNabb. In that case, there's no surprise with
Jackson's emerging. At this point of the season, Jackson caught 21 passes for 423 yards with an average of 20.1 yards per reception wich makes him a deep threat even if he scored only 3
touchdowns.
When you know that 10 average yards is more than a decent performance
for a receiver. Jackson scored already 4 60 or more yards touchdowns this season. My point is, he's becoming McNabb's favourite target. Plus, the Eagles are under reconstruction at several
places, the other quarterback Kevin Kolb plays more, at running back position, rookie Lesean McCoy allows Brian Westbrook to have some rest.
And among the receivers except Desean Jackson, on the other side we have rookie Jeremy Maclin. Sooner or later, the new school will get the power...
See-ya.
